Terms and Conditions

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "Terms") apply to the use of the dotDocs API (hereinafter "Service"), provided by Giesswein Creativ GmbH, Austria (hereinafter "Provider"). By registering for and using the Service, the customer (hereinafter "Customer") accepts these Terms.

2. Description of Service

The Provider operates an API for automated extraction of structured data from business documents (invoices, delivery notes, quotes, credit notes, receipts). Processing is AI-powered via third-party services (Anthropic/Claude).

The Provider strives for high availability of the Service but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance windows will be announced in advance where possible.

3. Contract Formation and API Key

The contract is formed upon registration (Free plan) or completion of a subscription (Starter/Business plan) via the payment processor Stripe. The Customer receives an API key upon successful registration.

The API key must be kept confidential and may not be shared with third parties. The Customer is liable for all usage that occurs through their API key.

4. Pricing and Payment

The prices published on the website at the time of contract formation shall apply. All prices are in euros and exclusive of statutory value-added tax.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Unused document quotas expire at the end of the billing period and are not carried over.

• Free: 5 documents per month, free of charge
• Starter: 500 documents per month, €39/month
• Business: 1,000 documents per month, €99/month

5. Usage Restrictions

The Customer agrees not to use the Service for:

• processing documents that violate applicable law;
• intentionally uploading malicious files (malware, manipulated PDFs);
• systematically overloading or disrupting the Service (denial of service);
• sharing the API key with unauthorized third parties;
• automated mass registration of Free accounts.

A maximum of 20 pages per document is permitted. Documents exceeding 20 pages will be rejected with an error message.

6. Data Protection

The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the Privacy Policy and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Uploaded documents are processed solely for the purpose of providing the service and are not permanently stored. After processing, documents are immediately deleted from working memory.

7. Liability

Extraction results are generated by AI and may be inaccurate. The Provider makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the extracted data. The Customer is obligated to verify results before using them for business-critical purposes.

The Provider's liability is limited to intent and gross negligence. Liability for indirect damages, lost profits, and data loss is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

8. Term and Termination

Paid subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly basis unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.

Cancellation is available through the Stripe customer portal or by email to mail@software.tirol. Upon cancellation, the Service remains active until the end of the paid period.

The Free plan may be discontinued at any time without notice. The Provider reserves the right to delete inactive Free accounts after 6 months of no usage.

9. Amendments

The Provider reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated by email to the registered address. If the Customer does not object within 30 days, the amended Terms shall be deemed accepted.

10. Final Provisions

Austrian law shall apply, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is Innsbruck, Austria.

Should any provision of these Terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
